Commercial Lines Broker Assistant

Job Duties:

  • Issuing Certificates of Insurance
  • Quote and Proposal Assistance
  • Receiving and processing payments from clients
  • Reviewing Company Memos
  • Contacting Clients and Company Underwriters for information
  • Accessing Company Portals for various items
  • Reporting Claims to Insurance Companies
  • Completing Home Evaluations (ITVs)
  • Reviewing Final Notice and NSF Payment notifications sent to clients
  • Reviewing Broker Renewal Expiry Lists
  • Sending Confirmations of Insurance to lienholders/lessors
  • Requesting Claims Experience Letters
  • Requesting Vehicle Inspection Reports
  • Premium Increase Investigation
  • Processing Change Requests
  • Issuing Pink Cards
  • Invoicing New Business, Renewals and Endorsements
  • Assisting the Commercial Lines Team with customer service calls, emails and client visits

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Level 1 or Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Commercial Lines Experience
  • Experience with the EPIC Computer system an asset
  • Experience with Transportation accounts an asset
  • Well organized
  • Able to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to change
